Types of Lessons available:
Beginner/Introductory Keyboard:
I work with beginners from age 5 (usually) and up - there is no 'wrong time' to learn how to play the piano! We usually follow a method book for general guidance, so purchase of some books is required. We'll move at the exact right speed for each individual. Enjoment is key.
My training and background is in a traditional classical style of learning the piano, through the Royal Conservatory of Music, a national standard of excellence in Canada. While I am well versed in the genre, I prefer to teach from more modern and relaxed method books.
Vocal Lessons::
I sing in a Pop/Contemporary style, and offer lessons in the same (or similar) style. The basics of singing well are essentially the same regardless of style. It boils down to a few key things. I will teach basic microphone technique if desired. (Microphone and amplification provided by Song Takes Flight).
